Where to spa, Delta style

Whereas most hotel and resort spas nowadays feature sleek, ultra-modern day spas, the new Feathers Spa inside the historic Peabody Hotel stays true to its Old World roots, with dark furnishings in an ultra-traditional décor. The treatments, however, from signature Peabody facials, massages and body wraps, slip you into that tranquil, Zen-like state. Slip back into duck-embroidered terry slippers and waddle back to the waiting room for hot green tea, a steam and a mani-pedi. An après-spa cocktail awaits in the Lobby.
Greenwood or Greenville bound? There’s a luxury day spa on each end of the Mississippi Delta! Hit the slot machines at Harlow’s then wind down at The Woodhouse Day Spa with the “Woodhouse Escape,” a two-hour packaged treatment that scrubs away any alluvial deposits, followed by a hot stone and neck massage. Hanging out on Howard? Then check yourself into The Alluvian Spa for a well-spent afternoon having a Sonya Daykar signature facial and cucumber water in the Tranquility Room followed by a steam and pedi. Champagne by request! – MT
