    Love the Mississippi Delta !
    Love Mississippi !
You can take me out of the Delta, but you can’t take The Delta out of me‼️
    Delta Born Delta raised‼️
I’m now 73 & the Delta was my home for 68 1/2 of those wonderful years! The Lord had other plans for my husband and me! We lost our entire-home and all possessions to a fire in 2019! Through the loss of our large self built home, that we only lived in for maybe 10 years, many many Blessings came! The only drawback was we chose to leave the Great Mississippi Delta! Every issue Of The Delta Magazine is cherished and I go through every page ! I don’t wanna miss a thing!
The The Delta Magazine sustains me til another trip back to the Delta, which seem to get further & further apart! On the trip back to the Delta, I seldom look at my phone because of the amazing view! Spring summer and fall are all different but I love everyone of them! At one point, everything is beautiful, bright and green. Even the dirt, the Delta dirt is beautiful to me! The farmers are preparing their fields for crops to come! The tractors, the plowing, the disking, and yes, even land leveling has dirt flying everywhere with-whirlwinds of Beautiful DELTA dirt!
The next time we drive through wow the plants are all coming up. The landscape is beautiful for it is so perfectly laid. The skyline is bright and vibrant with amazing colors, that only God could produce in such a majestic way! The next trip that we make to the Delta shows us another beautiful things that God has made! One side of the road will have beautiful green beans and the other will have cotton and the next will have tall tall corn. Oh and can’t for can’t forget the rice! I’m sure, this is not such a beautiful site to most that drive the Mississippi roads, but for this old DELTA girl it’s awesome beauty and memories in disguise! Oh wait, I left out one season of driving through the Delta on which of course we travel Highway 61 and occasionally Highway number 1, with Delta dirt roads leading from each! In the fall, the harvest is in effect, with all the hustle and the bustle, it is amazing. The farmers have a big job and they know their life counts on it. The wind the dirt where you can barely see. Oops wait a minute that’s when they’re preparing the land sorry but it to me it’s all beautiful. The crops are being harvested and such precision from grain to cotton to Corn and soy beans ! When I think about it, it’s really sad that everyone doesn’t know the process that goes through forming everyone should visit the Mississippi Delta at least once each season to see what it’s all about “The Great Mississippi Delta”!

  5. In the city of Oxford, the mecca of character, class, and culture in Mississippi, it takes something spectacular to stand out. Indeed Faulkner’s South amidst the Grove with all its beauty and angels shouting Hotty Toddy; only the brightest star can outshine on the canvas of creation. In God’s Country the goodest boy a dog, no coincidence that is spells what it does in reverse, named Waylon humbly stands supreme.

From humble beginnings to the pinnacle soul in a town that cradles you with heaven and never lets you leave. Waylon abandoned and found to rise to king is the thing of myth that gives people hope.

Regal in bearing, he is a gentleman. As beautiful a dog as a dog could be. Like some classical deity took beastly form. But no mere beast, no, such a thought is blasphemy. Waylon is the personification of Southern charm, grace, and fall in the south. He is a breath of fresh air. Waylon is akin to God’s gift of a breeze on the hottest day.
